  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Blend together ½ cup margarine, ½ cup Crisco and 1 cup sugar.
  3. Add pinch of salt, 3 well beaten eggs.
  4. Sift together 2½ cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda and add to above.
  5. Add 1 pkg of dates chopped up and 1 cup chopped nuts.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls on greased sheets. Bake 375 degrees 10 min.
